Personalized Horse Riding Lessons for Riders of All Ages and Skills

Riding horses is a wonderful way for skill and confidence building. We work with each client, no matter what age or experience, to achieve the balanced seat and knowledge for the safest experience with riding and interacting with horses. But we always lean toward fun...horses are a lot of work, so if it isn't for love and enjoyment, you will not stay with this discipline very long.

We want you to realized the love and healing that horses can give our spirit, mental state and physical being. Handling horses teaches you patience, how to think about being in the present and not the past, learning focus to achieve your goals and how to be a team leader.

For our youth, it teaches responsibility and how you affect others around you. Confidence that such a large animal is connected to you and how the horse will work so well with you when you get the communication right. I know, we adults get a great deal out of that also!

A big part of my instruction to my students and something that I work to put into my instructors to pass on also, is to pay attention to the horse and how lightly you can communicate with your hands, voice, seat, legs and even energy! Less is best....large cues are like screaming to someone all the time...they will just shut you off and not try to work with you.

Prices for lessons are as low as $60 an hour. These lessons are on very well trained horses that keep you safe, but not so robotic that you truly become the leader in the person\horse relationship. One on ones or small groups of 3 or 4. That way you get a lot of individual guidance as well as learn to work around other riders.

For those clients that have their own horses, I can get the rider out of their head and into giving the horse cues to do what the rider is asking. Many riders get lost in telling themselves how to ride and it leaves the horse on their own and it believe me, horses do not think as we do.
